Change of Face

Amurlate lays on his bed and stares at the ceiling. Sleeping was never a strong point of his anyway. Wizards like him really didn’t have too. But the turbulent emotions made him weary. His love and fears for Gwen and the other Jewel Riders made him like this, along with his knowledge of things to come. For his staying in the Crystal Palace with the Jewel Riders would endanger all of them, possibly destroy them. While he could just run away from it all, Amurlate knew that wasn’t an answer. The counsel would only send another evil wizard to Avalon. Plus his sister was now after him, and he really could use Gwen’s help with that.

With all that in mind Amurlate decided to send a letter to the Head of the Wizard Counsel and long time friend. So he gets up, and makes a glow ball, along with a pen and scroll.

High Lord Carzon

I write to you this one last time. I know of the disappointments of the counsel has had on me.

Along with the decision to expel me from the Counsel of Wizards. In previous letters you

have asked me if I understood the mission. Even questioning my abilities.

Yes I understood the mission. Disable their jewels and imprison them and then let

Morgana know. Then she could come in and take Avalon over. All before the Jewel Riders figured

out the way to bring Merlin back. But dear old friend. I can not, will not, do this evil deed. And

because of this reluctance on my part, It has now come to my understanding that you have

permitted my sister to bring me back to the counsel to be tried.

But let me explain something to you, my old friend. The friends that I have found here

have released new feelings; ones of happiness, of belonging, and of joy. The King and Queen,

Nobles, and the people of Avalon are a most kind and caring people.  They have taken me under

their wing. Now could I destroy that? I say not. For even though I am not of the same as these

people of Avalon, I feel I have a belonging here, even a new purpose.

So now old friend, I now ask you, no beg; do not allow my sister this pleasure. I will go

back home to plead my case directly to you and the counsel. I hope you grant me this, as your

remaining favor to me. For you will always have my deepest respects.

Amurlate.

Amurlate puts his letter in a magic ball and sends it into the wild magic by portal. Waves his hand over the glow ball to extinguish it’s light. He pulls the bed covers over himself and looks out his window at the starry heavens. He will have to tell the truth, he will now have to reveal himself to the Jewel riders. But when? How? What about his sister? The Counsel?

Note This A Teaser of things to come for Amurlate. Along with some new Characters of mine.

Namely Carzon who is the head of the Counsel of Wizards and long time friend of Amurlate’s.

Also Long Claw will make a return.
